7.set the path (for example - C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.)

8.set the title(Icon title or Shortcut)

************************VISTA USERS*****************************

9. After step #2 go to contol panel

10. Click on User Accounts

11. Click " Turn User Account Control On or OFF"

12. Uncheck UAC and Restart

13. Follow steps 4-8

14. Redue Steps 9-11

Yap. it reset to blank icon. But anyway, thanks a lot for the suggestion and i will try GIMP.Thanks man.

's Avatarzigboom (November 7, 2008):

so i guess it still resets to blank icon.. i don't know much about vista, using xp. maybe someone elese can post a solution. the problem is with the docklet (not the icon)so please try to search for answer on the "animated shortcut" page and ask it's author.
I didn't see specific vista problems so i suggest to double check the instructions.
Anyway, about the graphic software, i use GIMP. it's free and powerful. for simple instructions how to build an animated icon, check out my comment above.
Good luck.
By the way, some ideas ,maybe could help..try restarting the dock before u restart the computer, try to lock the icons on the dock and check permissions for the folder of the animated shortcuts & try searching wincustomize.com for animated shortcut...
good luck.

's Avatarblaze_spirit (November 6, 2008):

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32-bit (SP1).
Another question: I like to create my own icon and i dun know what software i need. Can suggest a good software that are free ? Thanks a lot...

's Avatarzigboom (November 6, 2008):

Well, i'm not sure.. which OS you're using(xp-vista?). Anyway, please make sure the "animated icon" folder is inside: C: \ Program Files \ RocketDock \ Icons (and the skype icon is inside it).
Please check the instructions again carefully to see if something could have gone wrong and let us know how it goes...

's Avatarblaze_spirit (November 6, 2008):

I like Skype. I have 1 question:
why the Animated icon become blank each time i startup my PC ?
I need to set it every time i startup ....

's Avatarzigboom (November 1, 2008):

well, it's quite simple. all u have to do is to create all the frames as seperate png's and tile them as one long png. each image must be exactly square and they must be tiled exactly one after the other without any extra space (so the length=hight*no. of frames). i use a grid to make it easy. make sure to compress the final image and to rescale if necessary to create a small enough image(it can take much cpu). good luck, if u need more help, let me know.

's Avatarsouth_soldier (November 1, 2008):

Cool.I always like to collect any animated .png.Also, if ya could give me some help i would like to make my own but am at a lost as how to.Even though i've been researching the hell outta it.Thnx.
