Went back and took a look at the OpenOffice Writer icon, and realized I had failed on the logo big-time!

I fixed that sucker proper this time!

Desktop icons are not something that I had originally intended to do, but I'm willing to at least give them a shot. They don't really have the look to fit well in a desktop environment, I feel.
In any case, how should I begin? Filetypes? My Computer / Folders / etc?

I deadweasel, can you also do icons on demand? I so love these icons, but have no clue how to make them myself. I would like to create this style on my desktop, but need some other icons that you have not made (yet). cheers!

The logo is simple: Words and birds! :)

OpenOffice uses those birds across its logo theme. The lines in the background represent lines of text. The logo was actually originally from OO.o itself, and I used the "cheap" method of manually selecting and cutting out the logo for this project. Later, I realized that the outline I was using on the logo looked like crap, because the cutting had not been perfect. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I was better off just re-creating the thing with bezier curves instead, which would make the whole thing much MUCH sharper.

Also, that icons link: pretty slick stuff, but a little too "cutesy" for my taste. Heh
