Orkron, you rock! Thanks for giving a try. I emailed you a pix of my vaio, I hope it's useful. Can't wait, thanks again!

Thanks Bananaman,
Glad you like them.

I use 3dsmax for many things. I created the O logo for the University of Oregon Visa card I designed: http://orkron.com/2dScene_UO-Visa.html

and I use it for projects/clients, 3d models/meshes for sale: http://orkron.com/3dwork_page01.html

These look pretty nifty. My favorites are dark-blue_on_yellow and yellow_on_metal. IMO, dark-blue_on_yellow would've looked even better had you used a regular blue and a bit less of a gradient, but that's just me.

Out of pure curiosity, what do you use 3dsmax for?

's AvatarOrkron (July 29, 2008):

I can give it a try, sure - email me at orkron@gmail.com

Sweet, I love these icons that I use them, thanks btw. I have an image I want to create as a icon myself but it seems so complicated. I dont know what 3dsmax and Illustrator are, and I dont have Photoshop,I downloaded Gimp and I dont know what Im doing!! lol. You make it sound so simple, but you have your own design/art studio site! Would it be too much to ask if you can be so kind and create one for me if I provide the image of my desktop vaio????!!!! Pleeeeeeease... :)
I would ever be so greatful!!!!

You can see all of the icons on my site here:

's AvatarOrkron (July 28, 2008):

I make these with a combination of 3dsmax, Illustrator and Photoshop.

But all that's needed is an editing program (Gimp is powerful and Free!) and you make your icon (best at 256x256) save it as a .png file for transparency and you're good to go!

's AvatarAZkid82 (July 28, 2008):

How does one create their own icon? What programs are needed? Thank you in advance---email me... gabe2082@yahoo.com with any info! :)
