A really small applcation to show/hide the taskbar (9kb).
You do not need to install anything.
Just place the application on the dock and change the image as your wish and That's it.
Works for XP and Vista
Put a shortcut on Starpup menu to do it every time you turn on your computer.

@tplman
no, just add a shutdown docklet to your dock.
i have a question, do you need to show the taskbar again before shuting off the computer??
PERFECT I HAVE TRIED SO MANY TIMES THIS IS PERFECT 5/5!!!
This is great, it works beautifully. One little thing is that occasionally the taskbar will appear again - I've yet to figure out what could be prompting this (could it be the pop-up alerts from MSN?), but asides from that, this is perfect! 5/5
This works perfectly. Click it to hide the taskbar, click again to get it back. Simple, easy, quick. Nice job, dude.
Thank you so much! This is the only taskbar hider which works for windows vista ultimate 64bit!dont download another!this works!
lol i solved that problem by adjusting my monitor so it *looks* like the windows take the full screen
hello,
nice its working, but (maybe i use it wrong) i dont understand the sence of this plug in. because the taskbar ist away, but the windows (for excample firefox) are not using the space. there is not the taskbar, but also nothing usefull.
maybe i am wrong, because the addon would be great, if the windows would use the free space....
cheers
Thanks! Nice work!
Great just what I needed a simple taskbar hider. Been using this for a while now and I love it. No fuss needed. Thanks a lot :)
its awesome.

If you autohide the taskbar before using show/hide taskbar, the space will disappear.
