Help thanks to bezisdabest:

Stacks gone after restart? Here's the solution folks:

Log in as admin to have the administrative rights.

1. Navigate to the RocketDock folder under program files...C/Program Files/RocketDock.

2. Right click on the RocketDock folder, and select properties, click the security tab at the top.

3. You should see a list of groups and user names of your pc, click edit...

4. Click on your user name..should be called "Users(your name)"

5. Check the box underneath to give yourself "Full Control", click Ok, Ok..

6. Done, your user account now has full permission to this folder...try it close the application or restart and you settings should be saved.

insane, works beautifully, can't encounter bugs listed, it's pretty flawless for me.

only feature request i could possibly think of is a # of icons displayed limited for the grid system. i prefer it, for instance, for displaying icons of recent downloads in a huge downloads folder, but don't want it filling my entire screen when i click it.

This docklet work really well!!

Just a little bug ... When you click on a stack when a stack is already open I get the new stack icons to begin to draw on the screen than they stop, waiting about the open one to close... an after the first continue openning ... This is just not enough fluid ... Could you correct this?

DOES NOT WORK!!!!!! I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know why, when I put a whole bunch of program shortcuts in a folder and then point this to the folder, 90% of them display with the default icon?

When I look at them in explorer they have the correct icons :/

Can't get mine to work correctly, I set an icon, set the folder it should open, I click okay and then it crashes on me. I'm using Vista Home Premium

's AvatarJohnCartwright (June 13, 2008):

This is what I did. I created a folder and named it 'Control Panel' (I think you can see where I'm going with this). I opened Start Menu, right clicked on a blank space, clicked 'Properties', clicked 'Customize' next to the Start Menu bit, went to Control Panel, ticked 'Display as a menu', applied. Once I did that, I opened the 'Control Panel' folder, opened Start Menu, hovered over Control Panel. Once the menu opened I dragged all the items into the Control Panel folder. Then, added new Stack Docklet in RocketDock. Opened up the Control Panel folder, and used a 'modified' Mac system prefrences icon (will post if wanted), and set to grid. Works perfectly.

Awesome!!!
shame about the shortcuts though :(

I don't know why yours takes a long time, do you have enough RAM? Cuz on mine, those icons spring up immediately and in one of the docklets I have over 40 icons. It only shows like 10 as I use that cool arc, but I just click on the top arrow and it shows all of them in a grid format, that is how I delete and add icons too. This is just too cool! So I'm wondering if your system is overloaded and can't handle the extra graphics or something....

I use Vista Home Premium. Here is what I did, it was so easy. I made folders on my C drive. I named the. One was Audio & Video, one Graphix, one Games, one Misc. So I have FOUR Docklets working at the same time. And into those folders I put the program icons that went to the programs. Then, just followed the regular directions for using Docklets and they all work perfectly!!! I can't thank you enough!!!

I make it work like this example: create a folder named 'GAMES' and create new direct accesses of your favorites .exe's games. Then, in rocketdock create a 'stack docklet' and bring the games folder recently created and... it's all.
