Help thanks to bezisdabest:

Stacks gone after restart? Here's the solution folks:

Log in as admin to have the administrative rights.

1. Navigate to the RocketDock folder under program files...C/Program Files/RocketDock.

2. Right click on the RocketDock folder, and select properties, click the security tab at the top.

3. You should see a list of groups and user names of your pc, click edit...

4. Click on your user name..should be called "Users(your name)"

5. Check the box underneath to give yourself "Full Control", click Ok, Ok..

6. Done, your user account now has full permission to this folder...try it close the application or restart and you settings should be saved.

Is there a way to have subfolders in the main dock folder that will also be stackable? Like a folder heirarchy?

's Avataropen0source (August 2, 2008):

SOOO useful, you did a great job. One tiny problem I have with it is that if you have text labels on your icons, it sometimes gets in the way of the stack's links. Screenshot here: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj149/open0source/StacksProblem.jpg This also happens when the dock is on the top or bottom, but it only runs into the text of your stack items. Putting the stack's translucent box on top of the label would work fine (though turning off labels while the stack is open would be the best option).

one word - must have

Alright, since no one else can figure this out here's how you make this work on Vista.

Download, install like any docklet. Go to your RocketDock installation folder, under prog. files, and create a settings.ini file. Leave it blank. Go to the RocketDock settings and select save settings in settings.ini. Exit RocketDock and go to the prog. files directory. Select properties for the RocketDock installation folder and go to security. Click 'edit', and then 'add'. Type your username, do 'check names'. Then check full control for your user only, don't mess with the others. Close all that stuff. Start RocketDock. Right click the stacks docklet and do icon settings. Select your stacks folder, I suggest doing user/you/stack so its easy to find, and then change whatever other settings you want. Save, close. Make sure it loads your stack when you click the docklet and then exit RocketDock. Start it again and confirm it works.

Can you fix it to allow the use of the context menu while the contents of selected folder are shown? (ei. "open with", "send to", etc?)

Thanks so much.

it's very useful for me !!!

's Avatarnick23 (July 25, 2008):

ok guys this is the solution:

1.- after downloading two files called: "StackDocklet.dll" and a folder "images"

2.- go to C:\programs files\RocketDock\Docklets

3.- in this folder called "docklets" create another and new folder with the same name of the "StackDocklet" but without ".dll"

4.- in the new folder called "StackDocklet" put the two files that you downloaded ("StackDocklet.dll" and a folder "images")

5.- then close the rocketdock and open it again

6.- Righ click on dock and choose "Add Item" and then you`ll see "Stack Docklet", click on it and there you are... enjoy it

bye bye
